Bought this new coolant pump kit for if/when the OEM pump failed on my 2014 Limited. Pump on the Limited never failed and the bike has since been traded.
This is NIB, still packaged up. I only opened it to see what parts were included and to take pics.

I just bought a 14 limited and my only concern about it is the water pump. Have several brothers with 2016's who's pumps have crapped out between 18k-30k miles. But no one I know has replaced any on 14's. How many miles did you have on your 14 when traded? Do the 14's run the same pump as the 16's? Thanks

 

I had 42,000+ miles when I traded this past weekend. I can't say for sure, but I thought 14-16's had the same pump. Could be that a part or manufacturing of a part on the pump changed post the 14's, hard to say. Maybe someone else will chime in with better knowledge or information.

At the time I bought this pump, they were scarce and hard to come by. Heard and saw where other riders who lost their pump were down for an extended period of time waiting on the pump. I just wanted to avoid that situation if possible and bought it as a back up. Fortunately, I never had to use it, so it is up for sale.

 

Just replaced pump on my 14 flhtk this past july with this same kit. 14-16's all had the old style pump that is prone to failure. Mine went at 19k.
