Selling my Boom 6.5 from my 2018 RGS. Works perfectly, but I put in the new GTS system with WHIM for CarPlay. $450 o.b.o. Rather sell it to a forum brother running the standard 4.x head unit than have it sitting on a shelf in my garage so we can deal if you are interested.

 

I have a question about the upgrade that you did, have you run into any problems with upgrading to the CarPlay unit? It is something that I want to do to my '17 SGS with the 6.5 GT system but was told that it could mess with some of the electrical items on the bike.

 

No problems at all. My HD dealer sold me everything including the Soundz module. They had done it to one of the parts guys bikes already.

Will this replace the smaller screen unit and 'just work'? If so I may be interested.

 

Yes, It will fit all 2014+ touring models with a fairing. Would be a plug and play replacement for the standard Boom! Box 4.3 head unit. Here is a link to the HD product page. The “Fitment” tab will show all models it will work with.
