Make offer - I'm negotiable! From what I was told by HD of Dallas parts manager, the seat is ~$850 through MoCo and you have to provide a CVO VIN to get it.

Nice seat, but the fact that you have to own a CVO to buy a replacement might deter most. It would suck spending $600 on a seat that can't be replaced if it were to get damaged.

I bought a CVO seat for my RGS from surdyke HD and they never once asked me if my bike was a CVO. If dealers ask that, then I go to another dealer.

Thanks for the info.
These seats are substantially thinner than other factory touring seats. Are they A$$ tenderizers on a 500 mile day?

I don't think mine feels any worse than my stock seat did. Maybe a little better if anything.

Yeah, it was the first I've heard of it, too. Didn't really care one way or another since I have a CVO, but can see how annoying it would be for someone else.

I didn't think the surdyke ones have the colored stitching, those require proof of cvo ownership.

I personally think the seat is very comfortable, but I replaced it with the touring hammock seat and a wrap around king tour pak for my wife's comfort.
