But you are not going to put it into your 18 why? I thought they transferred also?

So? I own a 17 that I had to deal with. 18's had the same problem, did they not? And what about 19 107's?

That’s what I’m thinking too, as far as I know 17-19 touring modes have transmission transfer.

Well do keep an eye on it. My 2018 RGU didn't transfer any for its first 7k miles. I had been checking it frequently in view of the reports. Around 7k I started noticing some loss of oil from the trans. I assume it is going to the primary, but it is such a small amount that I doubt it matters to the primary very much. The bike now has 14k miles on it, and is losing about one oz of trans oil every 2k miles. If it never gets any worse, I'll live with it this way. But I expect it to get worse, since that's what it has already been doing, getting worse. Point is, the problem may come or go, so don't let your guard down.

Mine also started to transfer at about 7000 miles.

Wondering why you don't take them back to the dealer and have them fix them under warranty, Glad I bought a 2016. No problems yet

I will take it to the dealer shop if it gets much worse. At around 1 oz per 2k miles, that isn't enough to fret about. Would have to add a little to the tranny every several thousand miles, but not have to remove from the primary between the 10k intervals. But for sure, if it gets irritating, I will take it in.

I did already discuss it with the writer at the dealer shop. It's too much trouble for me to take the bike in and let them dick with it, first to establish the condition, and then to experiment on fixing it. I'll wait until there's a final, perfect fix, before I take it back, unless the transfer gets a lot worse.

Do the new bikes still use the "Syn3 in all holes" plan (which I never did or believed in)?

Is this "transfer" problem that the trans fluid is leaking into the primary? Never knew there was such a problem, but I don't have a new bike either.
