New Progressive shocks.
I have a set of new progressive shocks, that were on the bike for maybe 2miles. They made the bike to tall for me. I’m only 5’. Progressive will not take back cause I mounted them. When I ordered them I didn’t know you couldn’t use lowering blocks,I did not see any we’re that it said that. I’d like to get what I payed for them,$683. I will pay shipping to lower 48. I have a ‘11 SG. Shock model is 944STD #944-4002UT there is a minor scratch from mounting.

Just because they say not to use lowering blocks does NOT mean you can't. I have used lowering blocks for years and never had an issue, That said, some folks will say Never use lowering blocks due to the fact it messes with the suspension, etc. There is one Youtube video I have seen that actually shows bent shocks from the use of lower blocks. And there are many Youtube videos showing how to install lowering blocks. I know that many people do use them and never had an issue. I would suspect that if you use lowering blocks at the maximum drop of 3" and have a heavy load on your bike and ran over a curb at 60 MPH you could damage your shocks and probably a lot more. All that said, to each his own. It's just a shame you ordered and paid a high price for great shocks you can't or (won't) use. Like you, I'm also vertically challenged. I recently had one of my stock air shocks go bad...well I stripped the brass air valve on the top of the shock and decided to just replace the 13" shocks with 12" progressive 412's. I removed the lowering blocks and had my seat lowered an inch by a local upholsterer. Now I can be flat-footed. I can also tell you that the progressive shocks feel a lot stiffer than the air shocks but, other than that, no big difference in handling. Just my personal 2-cents.

I tried to use with my lowering blocks but I cannot attach to the shock, the block that I have is not shaped right for these. Thank you for commenting.
