They look more normal to my eyes but they are a bit convex to give you a wider field of view.

I really like the look of these but I have read some reviews that say you hit your knuckles on them pretty easy because they are so low profile.
What was your experience with them? I am putting 12s on my ultra and I don't want something sticking up too high.
