Signature Series Solo Seat and Backrest
https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...eat---backrest
Traded the Street Glide in so this is up for sale.
Seat was sent to Mean City Cycles for their lowering and memory foam upgrade. I have about $700.00 in this seat, but I get it......
Most comfortable seat I've owned. The lower back support is awesome even without the backrest. Backrest is height and backward/forward adjustable. Not a nick or a tear or a scuff anywhere.
Looking to get $450.00 shipped to the lower 48.

For those interested the HD Signature Solo seat has to be the most comfortable touring seat available. I've tried them all and this seat was the most comfortable. Here is a bump for you.

Interested in MCC mods. I don't need to move down but do need to move back. Subjective I know, but how would you describe the "lowering" result and did it set you back away from tank any. I'm a tall rider, 6'3", bike is 2015 CVO Road Glide that I had to put SoftBrake extended pedals on to get some relief.

I'm 5' 6" so not much help. MCC will work with you and they have a lot of options. Moving you back can be done by them. It also depends on which seat you send them. The memory foam made a huge difference in an already comfortable seat for mine. It did move me down but not back in this case. Good luck.

Sorry, I meant to convey that I was interested in your seat and how the mods affected your position... not interested in MCC mods in general.
On my stock seat the backrest causes a problem for moving back, and MCC won't do mods to heated seats. Your backrest is built in, so I wonder if that would present a problem... will contact MCC to find out. Thanks and again sorry for the confusing question.

Sorry I misunderstood. I had the backrest very low as I'm short. It fit me really well. I would say that the modificatoin did move me down and back. The backrest had me sitting up a little straighter but I only used it on long trips. The curve of the seat provided a good amount of support.
When I say down, the stock height of the solo is the same as the stock height on the other touring bikes (Road King, Ultra, etc.) and this was higher than the stock Street Glide seat. The MCC mod lowered me back down to the stock Street Glide seat.
All that said, I think the seat would work for you. Not lower than the stock Street Glide and maybe a bit back from the stock seat. The backrest is really adjustable up/down and forward/back and I bet MCC could reduce the pad with memory foam.

If I didn't already have 3 seats for my new bike I would be all over this. Be patient and keep bumping. Somebody will buy it. Conversely it may get mentioned elsewhere and led to your post. Best of luck!!!
