yes, but it looks like you will need end caps, which are sometimes $$$, unless the OP has some.

I've been told the diameter of the 2016 is larger.

 

I think you are mistaken.

the 2016 is still the TC 103/110, which has 1.75 (inch & 3 quarter) pipes, same as always. only the Rine Hart true duals came in a 2 inch.

the 2017 has the new 108/Milwaukee 8 with the 4 valve motor, and the gas side exhaust pipe is MUCH larger, IDK how much, but they won't fit.

so let's ask someone else to chime in, but the 2016 pipes should fit all bikes for the past few decades.
