So as not as stated in your original post as being 12' they are actually the 13' shocks which is the Standard Length.

 

Now I see were the controversy is. In your original post check the picture with your tape measure. It is not (eye to eye).

 

These pictures might help people identify 12/13 inch shocks. Note the springs on the rebound side.
