I checked with my HD dealer here and was told that the shocks for the 2014 and new only fit those years because of the frame being different.
The years from 2000 thru 2013 fit only those year bikes.
Just passing on what I was told.

The frame change was in '09, nothing changed on the rear of the frame in '14... That being said, the air shocks will fit back to 99 I believe. The premium shocks are designed only for '09 and up, with the stiffer swingarm.
Not arguing, just passing along facts.
