the part numbers you listed are both for backrest pads. the kit for the backrest should be 52596-09A for 09 to 15 touring models.
What do you actually have?

The mount is the 52596-00A and the pad is the smooth pad 52501-09A. I had to many part number written down and mixed them up. Thank you for pointing that out for me.

I received the backrest yesterday. It was in excellent/new condition exactly as described. I installed it last night and rode to work this morning to test it out. The backrest is great!!!
