I have a pair of CFR slip ons that came off of a 12 Ultra classic. They are in good shape but do have some blemishes. The vast majority of them will be hidden once mounted. There is a little rust at the bottom and some yellowing under the saddle bag on one and some chipping of the end cap of the other. They could be re chromed or powder coated if your particular but I wouldn't see a real reason not to run them as is. Especially when the blemishes either face the ground or the saddle bag.
