Default New Klockwerks windshield - my mistake...

As a birthday purchase (I just turned 60) I ordered the Kw 8.5" in tint. I should have gone with the 6.5" version. I eagerly installed it - immediately realized my error. I am about 5'7" and the edge of the screen is directly in my field of view. Got about 10 miles and turned around and came home...very unsafe for me (especially in darkness). Emailed Revzilla about an exchange - they said "tough luck."

Now I have a new 179.00 hunk of aerodynamic plastic back in the shipping box. Make me an offer - I'll ship it to you. :^)

Fits 2014/15 Street Glide and other touring models.

Here's what one looks like: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klock-Werks-...8588e2&vxp=mtr

That sucks - any reason why they wouldn't take the part back?

I could possibly see something electronic not being accepted

Question - hopefully you sell it quick - are you going to go back and get the klockwerks that fits better or take your business elsewhere?

Cut the one you have down. Cut the bottom that goes into the faring. A guy I know did it and you would never know. He cut his down an inch and made the notches for mounting screws.

Might be an option on a flat shield but the way KW Flare is shaped at the bottom there's no cutting.

That's why I order stuff from Dennis Kirk, they GIVE you a return label in the box. They charge you for returns, but exchanges are free.

If you research an item before you buy it you might not feel like you were wronged. Klockwerks website has videos showing you how to measure for the size you need. I'm 6'1 and the 8.5 was perfect for me, but I took the time to measure how they said to.
