It looks exactly the same as the stock tail light until it is turned on and or the brakes applied. It is really bright.

BAL has several versions.
Some have the license plate light-up window on top and others do not.
There are many versions such as smoked and clear which may look stock.
Some are 4 LED lights while others have more.
It might make things easier if a picture was posted, part number or maybe a link to the exact part.
