How does the seating position compare to stock? I'm looking for a solo with rear pillion & backrest but it needs to move me back from stock...preferably about 2". Just way too cramped with the stock seat.

The C&C definitely moves you back at least 1.5 inches and down 1 inch. This is compared to the stock seat on my Ultra Limited. My stock seat made me feel I was being pushed into the gas tank.

Is this the wide solo and jumbo pillion pad?

The backrest on the C&C Seats is not adjustable like the Corbin or Mustang seats. It simply slides into place. This is the wide solo and measures 13 1/2. The pillion is also the larger of the two available from C&C. There was no gel added to the seat. It is in it's basic form.

 

can you feel the piping when sitting on it? does the piping make the seat more firm or not make a difference?

 

I didn't notice it when sitting on it. After reading your question, I went to take a close look. Looks as the the "sweet spot" is actually between the piping. I don't think it would be an issue, unless one were wearing shorts. lol
