Well I love the '15 CVO SG, but i'm not shelling out that kinda coin for what actually is different over the normal SG or SGS. I just loved the pull the 110 laid down. My original plan was to do Andrews 57H cams and intake/tuner exhaust. Yielded great results on my softail, but could lightning strike twice? If the cams make them comparable, i'll just keep the 103. And after the warranty goes up i'd prolly drag it to Fuel moto for a 117" kit from them. Which I know would kick the hell outta the 110" clearly, and might just be better than the 120R (which comes with NO warranty). Sooooooo. Is a 103" with andrews 57H comparable to a 110"? Cuz a 110" with the same cams would be a freakin monster

I have NEVER heard of a dealer buying take of parts, they get piled up and either thrown away or sold REALLY cheap. AS for the motor diff you asked about earlier, I think it would be better for you to come out of pocket for the new motor and sell your 103 with 7 TEST miles (it was never in a crate, it got assembled at the factory and ran hard) on it on here or fleabay. IMO the dealer will NOT give you the difference you mentioned. Good luck brother.

I used to have an EG Ultra. Now I have a RoadGlide. I just through out in the trash a stock
EG windshield and a 10" one. I could sell my EG Trucklite LED headlite for $25. I found a guy riding down the road and gave it to him. I have thrown out allot of stock mufflers. I have them laying around and in the way...foot pegs? Shifter shafts...in the **** can.
I have a stack of Harley repair manuals that are hitting it soon.

Not much of a market for stock take off parts, be it Harley or whatever.

You need to also remember that you will get very little if any of money you spend to modify your bike back when you sell it. But if you buy a CVO that has most accessories already on it you will get a large percentage of the difference between the CVO and NON CVO back on resale. NADA and KBB values are figured off the MSRP. When dealers take the bikes on trade or a bank makes a loan on a used bike they will only look at book value to determine what it's worth. They don't give extra for the extra money you spent modifying your bike.

Ebay is your friend, not the dealers. Sell your "like new take off parts" on Ebay.

What exactly is a dealer going to do with your stock mufflers? Do you think he gets people coming to the parts counter who have worn out their original stock muffler and want to replace it with a stock new one?

Stock seats from some bikes bring decent money on EBay but beyond that it's pennies on the dollar. I'd imagine you could put together running bike if you had a frame, engine and a few grand to spend on ebay takeoffs. With the black out and giant diameter front wheel crazes, its not just mufflers, air cleaners and fork lowers anymore.... people are selling entire paint sets and full wheel and tire packages as takeoffs

They may factor the upgrades in the price for the next buyer. I just bought a used bike from the dealer and he was all over the upgrades.

The problem is most stock parts are hard to sell. I've tried to sell a few on Ebay and the little money that you can get for them is usually not worth the trouble. It just depends on the part. Stock air cleaners and exhaust are basically worthless. If the dealers bought these take-off parts with every new bike they would soon have a mountain of parts they can't sell.
