Here's this weeks progress! Doesn't seem like a lot done, but a lot did get done! LOL, replaced inner bearing and such. Lower rocker box gasket was replaced, inner cam bearings, SE oil pump installed, new o-rings. Oh, and I cleaned the snot out of the rocker boxes

I've read a lot of different opinions about the oil pump and how it should be tightened. Some swear by the alignment tools, some say they aren't necessary. For $9, I'll wait until they arrive to continue the installation.

It sure is nice to just take your time isn't it.?

It is also smart to use the proper tools for the job.

On my old 2004 the dealer did the cams and 95" set up. It ran good but had blowby and a drippy air filter.
When I checked and changed the tensioners on that one i did it myself. I spoke with the mechanic who actually did the work the first time about using the alignment tools and he said I did not need them. I followed the instructions in the HD manual and used the tools. This time there was no more blowby or a single drip from the filter. Coincidence ??

I just did the Andrews 21 cams and am pretty happy, it pulls like a tractor. No more downshifts two up like before. The hot rodder in me wishes I went with 26's though !!

Good job ! Now get it dyno'd and really dialed in. What exhaust? I recommend 2-1 on a cam'd motor.

I have V&H true dual header pipes with fuelmoto 4" muffs.

I need to find a good place in my area to dyno tune for me with my Powervision

Hi HarleyGTP,
Are you using 25284-11 kit and andrews cam? May I know which cam you are using? I am planning the same route as you do for my 05 ultra classic.

Thanks so much

I hope you got a cam spacer kit and put teh right size cam spacer in, the stock one isn't the right one for the SE Hyd. upgrade
