The other oddity on the CVO SG is that single gas cap on the right side of the tank. Looks out of place to me. At least the 2012 had a matching LED gas gauge to balance it out.

They lost me as a potential CVO owner when the stopped being hand built by a select team. They can keep their ludicrously priced CVOs.

Sounds like the B Team was involved, the A team was still working on the wet head problems.

EXACTLY!!!!

That's one of the main reasons why I got my 2009 CVO SCREAMIN EAGLE ROAD GLIDE.

THE LAST YEAR OF THE "HAND BUILT CVO's"!!!

And the bonus is that there are only 491 made world wide for the fastest color!

2) They added a headset port to the panel on the left of the radio but it's so low the plug hits the center tank console when you turn left. If it was 1" higher it would clear and there's plenty of room to move it up.

The sales guy said they are all scratching their heads on these and have had customers come back complaining about both.

I'm surprised by the carelessness of HD making such stupid mistakes like this.
I looked at the CVO Ultra Limited last weekend and noticed the ignition switch looked different. So naturally I'm gonna touch and turn it. It seemed the only way to cleanly open the cover is to have it turned all the way to the right to the lock position IIRC. I guess technically the only time you'd need to open the cover would be to lock or unlock the bike but damn what a stupid setup. My paid for 2011 looks better every day.

1) The ignition switch cover only needs to be opened when the ignition is in the lock position, when in the locked position, the cover does not hit anything.

2) This is just plain mis information. Was at dealership today looking at CVO street glide and since I had read this thread I looked at it. Yes it is lower than it needs to be, but plugged in a headset and turned bars full lock to the left and the plug did not hit anything. It is actually angled up slightly and clears everything fine.

So OP, I own a CVO SG and yes there is a plastic strip on the dash panel, but as many times I have turned the Fork Lock, it never made contact with the Dash Panel and "Flexed" it as you noted.. The Head set connection, no it does not hit the Tank as already noted. Personally I am smiling ear to ear owing and riding this machine. Why do people always need to bash the MOCO? there are so many great things about this bike that all you do was name the two you found to be wrong....
