Have the J&S lift and love it.

 

I used a craftsman jack on my Heritage for years... no problems.

When I got an Utra, it did not feel secure on the craftsman jack, so I got a J&S jack... thought I was in heaven. I could sit on a rolling chair, and work on the bike most times with the job right in front of me. There was minimal bending down or getting on the ground to do something. A good jack is truly worth the money...!!

Then I got the room, the cash, and a table... wow...!! I've not yet needed to bend over to do anything. My back loves me..!!!

I still us the jack from time to time, but mostly when the other bike has an unfinished project and it's on the table...

 

It was 1,500.00 when I got it. Close to 2K now. But only makes sense if you have a low celing garage, work on the cars, bikes, and want somethinh that you can put away when you are done. I store them against the wall when not in use and have all the garage space back...



In all honesty, not really needed unless you do all the stuff I mentioned... A motorcycle lift, like the pitbull, is all you need... In my case, I got it to work on the cars. The mid-rise lift I used to have was a pita when I needed to work under the car. This one gives me complete open space under the car to work diff, tranny, clutch, etc. And it fits my garage ceiling height! Just an added bonus to be able to use it with the bike.

 

Probably use it to lift someone up to get tools out of that tool chest you have stored up at ceiling height too? LOL

 

I hate you, lol.

But my J&S works just fine for me.

 

had both -- got rid of the table --

1 - took up too much space

2 -- it was easier to do work on the jack instead of table

 

I have both. I use the jack when I want to get both wheels off the ground, then the lift table for everything else. I also park the bike on the table during the winter to save space.
