Default anyone using a "display stand"?

I have one on my 03, I see there is one for my 13, but it isn't cheap and the design is a little different, it mounts mid bike and can't be used from the drivers position.. the earlier design is easy to use while you are sitting on the bike, the newer one doesn't look like it works that way

I also have V&H pipes so I am concerned about fitment...

So has anyone pulled the trigger on one and your opinion?

I very seldom park mine in my garage standing up. usually I use a carpeted wood block I made that is about three inches thick that I put under the kickstand. It stand it up a lot straighter without shifting the weight off the stand. The times that I do park my bike straight up I use a Drag Specialties Center Jack. Here is a picture of it

It's an awesome jack, I bought it mainly to use on my table lift but it work fine for this also.

That's a center stand not a display stand.

That knurled peg on the left side is to put it down from the drivers position. It's tucked away but you can get your left heel on it. It's the best thing since sliced bread for washing and doing maintenance if you don't want to drag the jack out. As you say, it's NOT CHEAP. Mine came with my bike and I use it all the time. That said, I doubt I'd pay 340 bucks for it but it IS solid.

It does touch the inside of the pipe when putting it down but I have Bassani pipes not V&H.

I keep my motorcycle lift ready to go, so it's no problem to whip it out (cue screams) and slip it under my scooter and lift it...ergo, why pay $340 bones for something I already have? Now, if I didn't have that lift, a centerstand is a pretty handy thing to have, but I'd also be concerned about ground clearance.

To touch on what another fella has said, when I saw the caption 'Display Stand', I also had no idea what that was all about! Throughout the ages, they've been called centerstands, sometimes ride-off stands...but I wouldn't doubt that the manufacturer of the one that the OP is talking about might call it a 'display stand'...

Definitely agree with this, for just a little more you can get a Pitbull jack.

I have a center stand I purchased with my 08 Road King but have never installed it, still in the box. My jack needs all the room it can get to slide under my machine now. I believe the center stand would make that problem worse. With that in mind, if anyone would like a enter stand for about 1/3 the price new, let me know.

I use the one on my 03 when I park in the garage or shed because when I pull in sometimes space is tight.

Last winter I had my trailer, golf car, ZRX, 03 bagger and BIL's bike in the garage... the ability to put the bagger straight up and down with the rice bike on a rear stand allowed me to do laundry without having to move things.

I go to the local biker meet up spot and can park without having to worry about leaning it into another bike... roll it back, drive it off.

But now that I think about it I can use my Condor chock for parking at the house... but it is still slick for parking in tight spots

Stealership is having 20% off on 9/27, looking at that and the saddle bag bras to protect the tops of the bags... either those or have the lids done in 3M clear film

I am getting one this winter on my Heritage. My garage is tight, and having that bike stand up straight will help. I still remember when many bikes came with them from the factory.

when it was mounted under the voltage regulator on the pre 08 baggers the MoCo called it a display stand.

There are a bunch of them on EBAY

Quick question, are they hard to put down & stand the bike on. Do you put it down and then pull the bike back on it. If so, is it a chore or easy. Being of the short legged group, worried about feet slipping as the bike is pulled back to set on the stand.
