Default fuel-gauge

the gauges are not accurate. use the countdown trip(r) or odometer 1 or 2 for refueling. you DON'T want to run out!

The (R) reads from the fuel gauge, and calculates from there.

Not sure if it was available in '08 or not...

I concur with setting a trip meter at every fill up, then fuel between 150 and 180.

My 2003 Electra Glide does the same thing. Fuel gauge always says full but my fuel indicator light comes on after only putting on 100 miles. I use my trip meter to measure how many miles I've gone but it's kinda a drag having to use that method when the gauges are in place to function as they were intended yet most riders here have said that their fuel gauge doesn't work properly either. It's a bummer.

This years rally was a "rolling" rally starting in the far western corner of Murphy, sleep over in Statesville, sleep over in Rocky Mt and final stop/sleep at the Outer Banks.

Yes, I started setting the trip meter but prefer for things to work as they should. I will figure this out and post the results.

bad gage; bad wiring; bad sending unit. some times just lazy from sitting with a tank of 10% for a while. Not a hard fix.
