Thanks for the input folks. I Think I am going to go for it. It can only make the bike better. Worse case scenario is that a year from now I am out 300 bucks as I will need a new tune after the cams. I think I can have 300 dollars worth of fun in a year with a few more HP and a smoother running ride.

OK, I'm confused, as usual. You bought a SERT so the dealer could do a download? Didn't know the dealer downloads were dongle dependent? So now you've got a SERT but the dyno tune runs $300? Not real sure, but $300 for a complete dyno tune sounds way too cheap. Something is not adding up.

$300 for a complete dyno tune is about right. I would be leery of places charging more, not saying they can't be good but thats getting on the upper end of acceptable.

I put that I had a SERT, but they no longer sell that from my research. The dongle I have is actually called a (Super Tuner Pro). Dealer did the initial flash and supposedly tuned the bike by riding it around a few times and viewing the data that the tuner was able to record.

A real Dyno tune is a additional 300 bucks. At the time I didn't want it as I planned on doing cams very soon, but since we do mostly touring I decided to spend that money on a new speakers and a amp for the bike. The cams will have to wait for a while as I get the bike setup to best suit me and the wife.....We ride around 15-20K a year so getting it setup for us is more important than cams right now.
