I put one on my SG last year, mostly for my wife's comfort. By the time I was done it ran me about $2200. You can easily double or even triple the cost by adding things. Some things you have to do, but adding the rack, lights, upgrading hinges etc adds up pretty fast. I think the color matched tour pack was about $750 ( and it took 4 weeks to get it by the way). Unless you're planning to do it yourself, you can probably add another $300-$500 for installation cost at the dealer.

Do yourself a favor and get the solid mount. Don't know about you but my tour pack will never come off. The QD rack has a tendency to wear out the plastic bushings and move up and down as you ride.

I have the same candy orange and with the pack, liner, organizer, back rest not including the mounting rack it was about $1100 from a discount dealer. I found a used rack and strut covers on the forums for cheap. Next time I'll buy the Ultra.

Good Lord I can't believe what folks are paying for these!

That aside, consider getting a Rushmore Tourpack. It's a lot bigger and about the same cost - especially considering it already comes with the better hinges. Without the docking point (which was already dealer installed) I paid about $1000 for the whole enchilada through Surdyke. No lights. Didn't want them. You could also get the new Chopped Tourpack which is as big as the old King tourpack. It looks pretty sweet. Not sure if it's available in your color. Worth a look imo.

And yes - it will fit. Just make sure to order the 14 detachable rack.

PS - I like having the detachable tourpack. I only use it when I need it. Those damn things are top heavy! Sold my Ultra and never looked back.

Thanks for the replies everyone. If I order I plan on ordering from surdyke. For now I only plan on whats necessary. The detach mount (already have 4 pt docks), tour pack, and the arm rest pad to save a few bucks. Premium hinges, rack, and liner etc will come later. I don't care about lights, antennas, etc. Just need a plain tour pak.

I wanted the ultra as well, but financials at the time didn't allow, plus I just couldn't get over those ugly wheels on the ultra.

I second this recommendation. I originally bought a detachable rack along with the four point docking hardware. Now I have replaced it with a rigid mount that I much prefer. Many ultra owners go with the detachable hardware and you can get the rigid hardware cheap on eBay. You need the mount and the strut covers from an ultra to accomplish this.

Are the holes already drilled in the tour pak for the mount? or do I have to do that also?

You get to drill the holes. The bolt pattern changed over the years.
