Default 2011 FLHTK trade in value towards 2014 FLHTK

I rented a 2014 limited while vacationing in Florida and it has got me thinking of trading my 2011 limited. I don't know if my extra's will up the price but I have the fairing mount Garmin Road Tech 660 installed. SE 255 cams. Boom audio speakers. backrest, SE Stage 1 AC and of course exhaust with cat removed. Tuned with the SEPRT. I also have an extra 3 1/2 years extended warranty. 16000 miles. I would like to have the price difference you paid trading up to a 2014 or 2015 FLHTK limited.
Thanks

Extras won't help at all with trade in...

They MAY help a little on private sale, IF they are what the potential buyer wants...

You can sell back the unused portion of your extended warranty.

KBB says $14,900 trade in.

yeah, the add on stuff isn't worth any extra $$ on trade in. you just eat them. better to take them off and sell them outright or transfer them to the new bike if they fit.

I didn't think the extra's would matter but would still like to know what some of you who had 2011 FLHTK actually got on their trade. I am sure that I would get a better deal on the 2014 then the 2015. I talked with someone when I was in the mountains who traded up and he said that he paid about 3k extra. Is this realistic?

Did you find that much of a difference? I rode a 14 and didn't find it to be that much different than my 10? I guess my expectations based on what I read were a bit higher. It definitely rode nice and was petty snappy for a stock bike, but I didn't see enough of a difference to warrant trading my 10.

Traded a 07 CVO Ultra with 19K miles on a 14 FLHTK with Daytona Blue custom paint, last September. My cost difference was $10,200. It seemed fair at the time. No comparison between the bikes. The new one is far superior.

I have almost the identical bike...... Dealer here was at bike plus 13k in January and that changed to bike plus 11k in July.

Extras didn't mean squat...... And wanted to add time $$$$ to move them to the new bike and put the new on the trade.....

I walked.....

My wife felt that the 2014 was more comfortable to her. I do like the navigation better then mine. I could see it better. Brighter. I liked the hydraulic clutch. The air vent on fairing dried the inside windshield quickly after rain. I would not pay over 5k difference between the 2.

its all what you are willing to pay. if you want the new bike bad enough, you can rationalize the numbers. if you're on the fence, you will think about it for months.....i thought about trading my 2013 FLHTK for a 2014 but after much research and looking at them real hard, i didn't find the reasons to make the jump. course it didn't help me jump knowing i had gotten a stage one and custom seat and center gps mount. got it just where i wanted it so.....i kept it and haven't regretted one minute of it yet.....although, i still like to look.

I have an 11 and rode my friend's new 14. The suspension due to the new forks was amazing. Everything else felt pretty much the same.
