Default Road King brake pads?

I replaced my old Heritage with a 2012 Road King and it's time to replace the brake pads. I primarily use the front brakes so I want to replace both front and rear. My issue is... Are the front and rear pads the same? The LBS says no but the online stores say yes. I know Harley loves to give every nut and bolt it's own stock number and charging more for the exact same thing with a different label. What say y'all? I'm in need ASAP. I can spend $100 through JP Cycles or $160 at the LBS. Either way I'm doing the labor.

Do you have the Service Manual for your 'King?
Money well spent, you will refer to it more than you can imagine...

They should all be the same front and rear. On my 2000 RK, I went with EBC pads ($80) for front and rear on Ebay and I am very happy with them. OEM Harley pads are usually the easiest on the rotors (some say), but the EBC's are great quality replacements. When you take old pads out, spray brake cleaner on pistons/calipers to get all the gunk out, it made a difference on my brake lever (dont have to squeeze the lever as much to brake). Good luck

Front and rear are the same on my 2005. I bought the stock pads for front and rear at J&P cycles for $57. Dealer wanted $57 per set!

I recently replaced both of mine (2010 Road King)... and I don't think they come in the same package - so not sure if they are the same... the rear comes with a piston template and some grease. I got the OEM pads from the dealer.
