Is touched by the hand of God...rode through there today , went to the rodeo for the first time. The ride is so serene it is almost hypnotic, a beautiful valley stretching between sprawling mountains. The rodeo is a blast...my first attendance. For any forum member that lives there...I cannot help but be extremely jealous. I encourage any rider to make the trip...you will not regret it!

This is why I love living in AZ! Yeah it gets hot, but we have some seriously beautiful country to ride in! My gf & I just went up to Payson and Flagstaff yesterday to get out of the heat for a little while & put 400 miles on the new limited.

I just saw the title of this thread and yelled at my wife lol.

My parents live in Sonoita, my mom actually called me on Friday to say she was "volunteered" to sell tickets for the rodeo this weekend.

Did you stop and eat at the Steak Out? That's some good eats right there!

One day I'll take the bike out there, every time I'm visiting I say I'm going to rent a bike just to ride some of those roads it's nice enough just driving through in the cage!

I have ridden to and through Sonoita more times than I can count over the past 35 years and it never gets old. The Steak Out is great and has burned down and been rebuilt at least once. Rode through on Saturday, for me it is the portal to Patagonia, Tombstone, Bisbee and most of my local riding.

I ride through there at least once a week from Sierra Vista which isn't that far. Maybe 30 miles.

Riding AZ it's all good. Hit some hot springs and a ride up mt.Graham from Stafford. Very nice views.
