If you don't extend cables, wires and brake lines, you limit yourself and will probably never be totally comfortable.........

I just put on the Road King High Bars on 2006 RKC and I'm finally happy. I'm 5'4", I've had Road King Custom , Early Heritage, Heritage Style, and finally Late Model Heritage handlebars. The additional pull back of the Road King High Bars did the trick for me. Second place were the Late Model Heritage Bars. The Road King Custom bars had too much wheel barrel effect. The Early Heritage and Heritage Style bars had bad wrist angle for me. The Late Model Heritage bars had a good wrist angle, but not enough pullback. If I were to keep I would have put on the Street Slammer Handlebar cover and some risers with pullback. This has been my experience, none of these bars needed longer cables or wires. Just had to bend the brake line a little.Good luck with your quest.

The stock 2012 RK bars caused me pain across my shoulders. I switched to the Heritage style bars and the pain went away. Very happy with the Heritage style bars.
