It would be loud, no question about that. I wouldnt do it due to the fact that you lose so much torque and giddyup!Someone said it is not real good on the engine anyways, dunno about that though.

There are plenty of systems that you can get an awesomesound out of and get a very decentincrease in TQ and HP as well.

I have Samson straight fish tails on my 02 TC 88 Road King I installed the stage 1 kit which included the k&n open backed air filter housing and a remap it goes like a bat out of hell and lets everyone know I am coming. I bought the bike new in 03 and the pipes went on with 4 miles on the ticker. Without any problems at all runs flawless to this day.
I am picking up My 07 street glide "103" next weekend.! It has samson true duals with cholo straight fishtails ness super sucker II O2 sensor elimanaters and a Dynojet power commander the guys at dynojet are going to take it for a day and custom map it so it is perfect (they are located here in vegas lucky me)and publish the resulting findings and map so others with 103s and strait pipes dont have to hit the dyno to make it run. I was informed that as long as you have the 02 sensors intact and dont change anything on the intake side you can do anything with the pipes you want and the o2 sensors will do the adjusting for you.
I also swear by samson they have the best customer service!!! I broke one of my fishtails and they replaced it no questions asked. here is the kicker it was 3 years old so if you want a good straight pipe check them out .
Good Luck and enjoy your drag pipes. Phil........

I also have the sampson straight fishtail drags on my '05 rk custom. I love them. I bought the bike used about a year ago and this one of the first things I did. The stock pipes were way to quite. I didn't notice then or now any difference in power. A guy from work saw me the other day, said it was the first time he saw my bike. I asked him if he liked my bike and he replied "From what I saw... You were haulin' ***", as I often do. Good thing my driving record is still clean. Not sure about a '07, but the post above seems to answer that. I just love my pipes so much, I wanted to comment on them!

Dont think you would like the loss of bottom end with drag pipes on the heavier bike.Go to loacal biker bar sit outside and listen to the bikes as they come in and seee what gives you the sound you like without hurting power.Persoanly love thunder headers 2 into 1

Do whatever you want it will never sound as good as a sporty, they have the true harley sound and no other harley sounds quite as good.

magic - let us know how the pipes and dyno turn out. I too would like the loudest pipes on my '07 so that the cagers around me know I am there.

Peace,

Final numbers 100 HP, 100 F#s to the ground with true dual fishtail straight pipes couldnt believe it !! Its all in the tuning, I dont care what anybody says about low end loss etc I can wheelie this beast in second gear. I am switching out cams now and just ordered an RB Racing Pro Stock Pipe I will let you know in 6 weeks or so what happens next...Phil.......
