Default "Croc" replacement seat cover

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a replacement seat cover from ScottySledShed.

Has anyone replaced their stock seat cover and if so, did you upgrade the padding by adding a gel layer?

Default seat

I had my CS recovered with some ostrich, and had the foam reworked. Now I can a 700 mile day without any probs.

Scotty advised me if I added GEL to make sure it was on the bottom of the seat, and not the top.
He said it gets real hot when installed on the top layer
He has nice covers, Im looking at doing the orange gator in the future
I just have to find a seat I like first.

Agree about the heat. I've not specifically sat on a motorcycle seat covered with gel or memory foam, but I've used those in other applications, and they are hot and sweaty to the touch. Lay down at a bedding store on a gel or memory foam mattress or cover and you'll experience it.

Default Did It

I ordered a cover and couldn't get rid of wrinkles once mounted. I ended up ruining it so I order a roll of the alligator from him and had a local shop do it in leather with thick heavy duty thread! $250 and worth it.....
