Jesus! What is the torque spec for primary derby cover?
I changed the oil for the first time since getting my used 2007 Street Glide in April. I'm glad I did because it turns out when the dealer forgot to change the primary and tranny fluid (as part of their extensive 17 point service they do on all of their used bikes) they also forgot to change the oil, so it was pretty dirty. I had to get my special T-27 torx driver (it's on one of those key things, so it gives good leverage) to break the bolts free. 4 were fine (though torqued down to probably 80 ft lbs), but the last two just rounded out when I tried to break them. Maybe I could have hit them with a torch or something, but it was too late at that point. I had to run to sears for a $40 set of bolt extractors.
I changed the primary fluid (and oil and tranny) on my dyna today and I noted that the bolts were able to be easily removed with just a screw driver handle T-27. After 3 years all 6 bolts were still there. I remember when I first got my dyna I had a similar problem when I did the first oil change on that bike (the dealer did the 1,000 mile, so my first oil change was the 2nd oil change).
What's the point of driving these bolts on so impossibly tight? Are they putting them on with an impact wrench or something?? The bolts are soft as heck, so it is nearly impossible for the average person to get them out without drilling them....anybody else run into this, or am I Just unlucky, or really bad at loosening a bolt?

I think the spec for derby cover is around 100 IN/LBS, about 8 ft/lbs but don't quote me on that.
I had a tough time getting the torx screws out when I did my first change but kept using them (torqued correctly) until I rounded one off and had to drill it. I went out and got some stainless allen screws to replace them all. No problems since.

When I had to drill out the one on my dyna, I too replaced them all with Allen head bolts. When I had my forward controls installed, I got the bike back with torx bolts... Only they weren't tightened down so crazy.
I was really really irritated by this turn of events today, but the Bolt extractors they are selling at sears these days are pretty darn useful. This is what I used:
