I use a torque wrench for everything... except the derby cover after stripping one of them and needing a helicoil. I even felt with the torque wrench, this seems too tight then,, strip.. sh*t. Now I go by feel and never have a problem.

Everything involving the primary that I have removed, the bolts appeared to have a white thread locker on them. If it was really galvanic corrosion, it never repeated. If that is actually thread locker, the problem may be too much rather than over torquing, though the results and corrections are the same. Guess I have been lucky, no stripped heads.
