Tapping the driver with a hammer will break the bead. The oil change guy is the newest in the store.

I found when the motor is cold, they come out much easier. So I loosen them up before warming the engine to do oil changes.

Ahem....red Loctite is the issue here. Something the Moco slathers onto the threads of every fastener on your bike.
But there's an easy way to overcome it's unwillingness to let loose of those derby cover screws: Heat.
Yes heat will loosen the red Loctite so that even your 11 year old daughter can remove them. Heat also loosens all other colors as well.
It is best applied with a soldering iron to each individual screw.
No drilling, cussing, muss nor fuss - just heat those screws until they're so hot you can't touch 'em, then back them out.

Whenever I change my primary oil, I only use the 8 way screwdriver to tighten the screws. Never had a leak and no problem getting them out.

Speaking of the derby cover I had an additional question. Does the derby cover have one or two gaskets that your suppose to use when you place it back on the primary cover? Thanks.

Thanks. So the LHS sold me the large rubber o-ring derby cover gasket and the large clutch inspection cover gasket, part number 25416-99C. I'm using the stock derby cover so I can use the large rubber 0-ring gasket or the clutch inspection cover gasket, part number 25416-99C? Thanks!
