Thinking about switching from SG to RG. Any complaints from those who have done so? How different are they to get use to with out the moveable batwing fairing?

Rode a batwing for 10 years switched to a Roadglide in 2011 , it doesn't take any getting use to , the ride is better , I'd never go back

How does the ride differ?

Traded 2 batwings for my RG. The batwing knocks a hole thru the air, the RG slices thru it. Got on a friends SG a few days ago and it felt like there were lead bricks on the handlebars. RG front feels so light and nimble compared to the batwing. Don't test ride one unless you are ready to make the switch.

Lol!! Thanks for the comparison. I came from a night train so this felt like heaven...but now I just love the look of the RG...I'm ready to switch just had a few questions about them that I wanted a couple veterans to a chim in one

I put 32,000 miles touring with my 10 UltraClassic. I added a 12 RGC and liked it so much that I got a CVO and CVO Ultra to enjoy them to the fullest.

Road Glides love to eat up miles.

There in there somewhere along with the Ultra Classic. That is my touring stable which includes the Ural, an adventure touring Buell Ulysses XT and let's not forget the Road King.

I've owned a Road King and an Ultra Classic before I got my Glide. I wouldn't go back . To me it kind of takes the best qualities of the two. Lighter feel to it but protection from the elements and a stereo .

My neighbor in Tn has a Ural..once you get accustomed to the ugly, it's almost horrifically beautiful.

I test rode a road glide, as far as wind protection it didn't even compare to a bat wing, there was a lot more wind in my face, and the wind noise was ridiculous, don't even know why they put a radio on it cause you can't hear it. I like the looks of them and was considering buying one until I rode it, I was very disappointed in the fairing.
