A friend of mine is installing Performance Machine rotors on his new 07 Street Glide. I am getting ready to install the chrome front end kit, H-D lowering kit and want to install his stock rotors on my 05 Standard after getting them polished. My local dealer will do an exchange with me, but wondering if there is somewhere I can send them that you have been satisfied with the work? Thanks.

 

I have read several post here of guys doing it themselves. They seem to love it and claim to be simple enough. Reread some posts or do a search for it. May take time, but no one will do the job you will. Let me know, becasue I certainly would like to do this as well.

 

I've done a pile of them myself. I use an attachment that fits in an electric drill. I go from about 320 grit up to 2000. Once you master not tearing your paper on the rotors edges, you can polish out a rotor side in 20-30 minutes.

I have a buddy that took his to a place near us and had them polished. They came out nice. Back then (2-3 years ago), they only charged him 25 bucks a rotor. Give them a call....
