Default 06 Streetglide stalling...help

I have a 2006 StreetGlide. It is totally stock with 13K on it. It has never given me an ounce of trouble until Sunday. I was out riding and while I was going around 30mph the motor made a few coughing sounds and it stalled. I wasn't able to get it restarted and had to have the bike towed to a local Harley mechanic. He looked at the bike and checked the entire electrical system and couldn't find anything wrong. He started it right up and went for a test ride and it stalled on him and he couldn't get it restarted. At this point he is telling me he doesn't know whats wrong with it but he mentioned it could be the fuel injectors and that it could possibly cost $1000+ to fix. I told him I was going to ask on the HD Forum because thats usually where I get my mechanical help from. I was thinking maybe its a crank position sensor? Maybe its a bad fuel pump? Any suggestions on what to look for would be appreciated.

Owned since new? The 06's had issues with 8 degree fuel injectors and stalling. The fix was/is to change them out to 25 degree injectors. Was yours taken care of already or still have the 8 degree injectors?

Also unplug and then reinstall the fuel hose on the bottom of the tank.

3rd owner. I have put 3000 miles on it since I owned it without a single hiccup. How do I check what injectors it has in it?

Google M-1185 Service Bulletin to get an explanation of the injector issues.

I have an 06 also and had a stalling issue just like you are describing.
My issue was the fuel line connector at the tank. Next time it happens
reach down and try to rotate the connection. I had the connector in the tank
replaced and have not had a problem since.

I hope you don't have to pay the mechanic if you find the fix here on the forum.
