Default Lowering a Street Glide

Hi, I'm new to the forums and am looking at buying a Street Glide and am wondering how difficult it would be to lower a stock height Street Glide to the height of a Softail Deluxe. I am only 5' 2" tall and am looking to get low enought that i can comfortably sit on the bike and be near flatfooted. I would like to avoid using a reach seat. I would appreciate any suggestions, Thanks.

Rear already has 12" shocks about the only thing safe to do would be get the front end lowering kit. Reworking stock seat would also help. Go to vendor page and see Allen's seat mod. Great mod and a great price.

I have an RK Custom, which has the same suspension setup as your SG. I am also short (5'4") and hate the way that reach seat looks. I lowered the forks about 1" with the HD front lowering kit, and I installed 11.5" Progressive 440's on the rear and I use a good pair of HD riding boots to get me flat footed. Ride is very good and I do ride 2 up more than 50% of the time. One word of caution, just dont add shorter shocks AND a lowering kit, because you will bottom out fender to tire.
