I'm an Idiot (Part 2)
So first I forgot my sunglasses had a headband to keep them from vibrating.
Then on last week's weekly group ride, it got down to 48 degrees. For August in Michigan, that's frozen. I get about halfway home when I remember that when I swapped out bars, I put on new grips... HEATED GRIPS! I cranked those babies up and WOW, did it make a difference.
Originally I had put them on figuring for the little bit of extra money, they might come in handy, but I guess I never thought about having to use them in August.

Hahaha...reminds me of two years ago when I bought my FLHTK in August and on the hour long ride home from the dealership I turned my heated grips on high just to see if they worked. After about 5 minutes I shut them down and then rode for a while with one hand and then the other like holding a hot potato!
By the way, I am on the west coast but I married a Lansing girl.

I'll be the first to disagree then...
Well, not disagree exactly. I'm glad you like them and that is really what counts. My is that it limits your grips and they seem to break too often. Personally I think Gerbings heated gloves are the way to go.
