No, a bike with a stand that could only be used on level surfaces, wouldn't work work out all that well.

That's the first addition to my last three Electra Glides. On the center stand the bike is super stable and rock steady. I can't set it while sitting on the bike, but it is no big deal to do it standing alongside; just put it down with left foot and pull back. Correctly adjusted it is easy. I use it mostly in the garage at home, or when I'm on a trip overnight, just in case some yahoo climbs on it. Can't put an oil cooler on it though.[8D]

Well it looks like all the stands get a good review,is there any reason one would work better for me?,I'm 5'6" and can't flatfoot my bike. Can the fork locks be used with these stands?

You basically have two choices MOCO chrome stand that goes in front harder to install and you can't use a oil cooler with it or the others that install in the rear of the bike, these are easier to install and more functional for cleaning tires etc. and IMO more stable. One concern for you would be can you get the MOCO stand to set while still seated? the stand that bolt on the back you can set it while still on the bike, (no matter how tall you are) not sure you could do that with the MOCO stand at 5'6" something to thing about. Maybe you can find someone that has one and check it out.
