Guys, what's the best sounding slip on for an 08 Ultra, with stock breather and exhaust pipes.
Looking for that deep rumble without being overly loud. Price also matters.
I have been checking out sound bites on the web.
So far V&H 4" twin slash rounds sound the best, but it's hard to tell listening online.
I don't live near a lot of other bikes to compare.
Thanks in advance.

I like my Vance and Hines Twin Slash Rounds, I have a sound clip on my profile.

Personally I'm a big fan of the Rhineharts sound. Had them on my 08 streetglide and now on my 11 Road King

I love the V@H monster rounds. Deep rumble and barks when you twist the throttle. Get compliments all the time about the way the pipes sound...

I'm thinking the Rinehart's are sounding better too. Not quite a loud as V&H.

I also have an 08 Ultra and I put Rhinehart on it and like them a lot.

I started with PowerMaster slip ons w 2" baffles. Then I got caught up in the noise crap and swapped out the 2" for 2.5" baffles. Rode like that for 2 years but the noise was killing me. Dropped back down to the 2" baffles. Found a pair of used SE slip ons here in the for sale classifieds and they are perfect. Nice low rumble without killing my ears on long rides.

Just my opinion.

Good luck with your search.

I did the same thing when I got my RK and just added slip ons. Went with the twin slash rounds and I love them. Nice deep rumble. Great price on these too compared to others. Can't wait to finish the stage 1 but since I'm so happy with these, that has become last on my list of mods.

If you like the Rhineharts, you can get a good set of KO's on fleabay for about 150 - 200 bucks. I have a set on mine right now. They look and sound great. Unfortunately for me, I like my bike a bit louder. I have a new set of SO's that will be here tomorrow.

Forgot to mention, check out Law abiding biker on youtube and on his website. He does a really nice review on the twin slash rounds. Ordered mine through Fuel Moto. Quick delivery and really easy install.
