Default New Carb Jets When Going From Hypercharger to Big Sucker?

Guys I have a Hypercharger intake on my 05 carbed King but don't care for the look of it. Wanting a Big sucker style AC setup next. Right nowthe bike runs great. You think making this change i would have to mess with the carb at all? I did not install the Hypercharger and have no idea what it has for jets but it has been tuned for it as the PO gave me his Dynojet kit. All I had to do was bring the air fuel mix screw out a tad as I was getting a few carb farts but its good now. Any ideas?

Hyperchargers suck for an A/C. You should be good to go, as a matter of fact your RK may even run better as is!

sounds good bud thanks! I figured I'd be good as both are a free flowing AC set up yet the big sucker is even more so. I do have slip on bassani muffs too

ah the hypecharger...

hot bike testing showed it flowed all of 152 CFM...a whopping 10% over the stock air cleaner.

the Ness big sucker and the screaming eagle hi flow air cleaner both flow about 240 CFM.

Dump the Hype, you pick up a few ponies.

You may need to change the jetting- the CV carb is easily tuned and if you are uncomfortable trying that, find an indy who likes the Keihin CV carb.

for an overview on tuning/modding go to nightrider.com, bike tech section

the idle mixture screw you adjusted is really only active at idle...it has a marginal effect on the carb mixture at speeds above 1200 rpms.
there is a low speed jet, a highspeed jet and a needle which tapers the midrange mixture
