Not to mention the gauges.

With regard to the frame, enough's already been said to indicate the degree of changes. The part number is also (naturally) different indicating further that it is not the same part (47900-14BHP).

Greetings, I ran into a guy on another page named Justin Von Metal. He will get you an entire front end, triple clamps, tubes legs, cow bells, and he valves it for about $2k. Your front end would bring $500 for someone doing a resto. Powdercoated in your choice of colors. You get the 49mm tubes, you get the top triple clamp, and you get custom valving for you. Huge upgrade over the 50 year old front ends they used through 2013. Mine went on a 2004 and 2007 so I had to change out wheel bearings for 25mm. Respect, Wes

Right answer - yes, but you would probably spend less money by selling your bike and buying a new road glide. Less headaches anyway.
Not if you sell your old parts and Headache / working on bikes is therapeutic just like riding them

The wind shield and chrome trim are not interchangeable.

This even goes in reverse for earlier bike parts to a new 2014 model. Having said that you can switch the entire complete only front end between the years. The gooseneck bearings have a small modification and are adjusted differently, but the Frames are the same.
I’m told 49mm trees can not fit a older model bike. This is straight from a huge company that makes trees
