How do you get to the clamp bolts that hold the handlebars down? My bolts are covered by a chrome piece. I found that you can pull the lock bezel off and remove some screws but the chrome cover refuses to come off. It appears to be held in the front by another chrome trim piece. That piece is bolted to the headlight bucket. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Remove headlight trim ring and head light. Inside headlight nacelle you can unscrew and remove the top nacelle trim (spear). Which will expose the forward mounting point for the handlebar clamp cover.

 

Thanks. That was the info I needed. I just swapped the Harley Road King pull back bars with a set of Heritage Softail bars.
