Default ReKluse clutch on a Harley

I have had them on some of my dirt bikes and they do make a huge difference in tight technical terrain. I was just wondering if any one here has tried one on a touring bike and what they thought of it. Incase you don't know what it is, it's basically a centrifugal clutch. Once you are below a certain RPM the bike acts like it is in neutral. When you give a little gas the clutch engages and off you go. It would be nice in rush hour traffic kind of stuff so you don't have to keep pulling in the clutch.

subscribing to this! i have the web site saved as well. i was wondering if it would be worth the $800 chunk of change and how it would preform on a touring bike too!

Saw them on display in Sturgis, not certain I understand why they are better than a Barnett or other comparable aftermarket brand clutch

they convert your clutch pack to an auto type clutch. you can put it in gear at idle and not hold the clutch in, when you give it throttle it will grab and take off.

I would think it would be more relaxing in a rush hour situation, not having to use the clutch when braking or stopping.

On a dirt bike it was nice because you could slam on the rear brake, slide into a corner and gas out of it. It would also make your 4stroke act more like a 2 stroke by negating the engine braking once it fell below the RPM threshold.

I guess what I was looking for was that same feeling except on my street glide. Right now my only real complaint I have about my bike is the amount of engine braking when letting off the throttle. I understand that the gear you are in has something to do with that as well but it would be nice to get rid of it sometimes.

Fantastic product. I've had 2 in my dirt bikes and just installed their latest version in a new KTM. It's an auto clutch that can also be used as a manual clutch. They are selling like crazy for Harleys I hear. I have a bit of arti in my left hand and added an easy-pull to the Ultra. Would not hesitate to get a Recluse if it gets any worse.
