I'm having tranny troubles on my 99 Road king. As I'm going through the gears it will not fully engage in gear and will sometimes take a 2nd or 3rd attempt to engage. It seems to happen more when I'm hammering on it, but still happens occasionally with normal riding. I think have a worn out transmission. Does anyone know what years the transmissions were the same on these bikes? Any advice would be appreciated. Also my clutch (brand new Cables) doesn't spring back by itself all the way, I have to push it back.
