Ok I told you I have 2 left thumbs......
But I don't care. I'm starting today. Bike is in the air and everything is in except for the braided lines. I'm sure they will be in by the time I'm ready for them. My wife is shaking her head [] Last night I broke a screw tightening it too much installing the highway pegs. That's not stopping me. Especially when that only hit me for $3.95. Service Manual and Forum, don't fail me now.......Off to the garage!

Step 1: Step away from the bike!
Step 2: Read the manual for each item you are going to install.
Step 3: Buy the needed torque wrenches.
Step 4: USE THE TORQUE WRENCHES!
Step 5: Step away from the bike, and admire what you just completed. With beer in hand of course!

If you broke a screw putting a foot peg on I would not attemped this project it takes more than just wanting to work on your own bike Trust me I been there.
