Doesn't matter whether not have a sport bike or cruiser when somebody pulls out in front of you. Actually, it might be more important than a cruiser because they're heavier and take longer to stop at speeds.

If you need to pay a few dollars extra for good brake pads, that's one part that could save your life.

The stock pads do just fine, IMO. I will be replacing mine when it comes time with stockers.

I agree, I should have explained it better. What I meant is that on my sportbike I am usually hauling ***, but when on the Harley, its all about cruising. You are right, my Harley weighs twice as much as my crotch rocket, so brakes are equally as important. I am going to try the EBC's. Thanks

Stock pads are great same rotors and pads on front 90K miles still have 20% left rear were changed only once under warranty due to bad rotor. Harley rotors and pads are designed to go together any high performance pads might eat the rotor before you know it.

I was always a stock brake pad guy. Recently after a few close calls I got to thinking. If a better pad could grip better and stop me quicker than stock and keep me from from hitting something cause I actually stopped 10 feet away better than stock then why not try a set.

Of course I'll never know.......but what the heck.
