Default Highway pegs

Do most of you guys use highway pegs? I see people using them in traffic and was wondering if thats a good idea. But sometimes I wish I had them on long runs. I need to find some that look good and will work with lowers on my ultra. Any suggestions?

I've used them on all my bikes. can't live without them now. Look at Kuryakyn for the Iso line of grips and pegs. They absorb a lot of vibration and look great too.

I use the Iso-Blades. There are a lot of different ones and you just need to choose one that suits you.

Good luck.

I use them to (also Kuryakyn) although not in traffic. I only use the when I need to stretch out the legs in open areas where I won't need to shift.

Would not want to do without them.
I have HD ones that were on my bike when I bought them. Pretty good ones, almost as good as the Kurakyn.

I have 5 riding positions for my feet on long trips.

Flat on the floorboards
Rear of the floorboard on my toes
Instep on the hwy pegs
Back of ankle resting on top of the hwy peg
Back of ankle/leg all the way on top of the engine guard with legs straight out and hugging the tank between.

The last position is only when I feel comfortable doing it (not much traffic)

Agreed on using highway pegs. I went with the Kuryakyn Switchblades that have a swing-out heel support. The only mistake I made was using a set of the Harley 360 degree mounting kit. They are great for getting the pegs into any position that's most comfortable but they are not designed well to work with pegs that have a heel support. I could never get the one adjustment tight enough to keep them from rotating downward when I would use the heel supports on the pegs. I ended up drilling, tapping and installing a set screw that keeps the one adjustment stationary.

Basically when I'm not shifting my feet are on the pegs.

Went out today and bought a set of kuryakyn's with adjustable arm and double wide foot pegs. Look real nice and went for a short ride and they felt great. Thanks for your input! I also put on an extended brake pedal. That was also a good choice. Puts my foot in more relaxed position and can use the brake with a lot less effort. Might get an extended heel shifter next.
