I suppose they are comfortable.

I have one, it works great. Really good in the summer, much cooler, don't get the "hot seat". You'll need a rain cover for it.

I got 2 Buttpads from: http://www.alaskaleather.com/index.html for my EG Classic. 1 for my seat and 1 for my passenger so we can choose when to use them. They attatch with an elastic strap that you route under the seat and has 2 quick detatch clips for easy removal. We like them and they are comfortable.

I've been ridin with a sheep skin under my butt for years and I wouldn't ride without one. The nice thing about them is they wick moisture away from your bottom-end as you ride and keeps it, your ***, much cooler...

As for riding in the rain, I normally have a rain suit on so if the sheep skin gets a tad wet it doesn't bother me and when the rain stops I just flip the skin over my backrest and it drys in minutes...

Go out and get a sheep skin to add to your ridin comfort...

IMO, if you want to be more comfortable...Buy a more comfortable seat. Looks like road kill to me. But I bet it does make you cooler on those summer rides.

I installed the Sheepskin seat cover from Harley on my Ultra. Fit is great, its basically a gfull cover and you have to remove the seat to install it.

I use the rain cover for it whenever it may get wet, and even if I forget and it gets wet, a good towel dries the most of it.

it dries with the air bl;ower when I wash it, and the comfort difference is very noticable especially in Hot weather. It cuts down on the Chaffing. when cold hits, it feels warmer..

I'll keep mine...

Water rolls off of sheepskin pretty good. You rarely hear of a sheep with pneumonia.

I have a HD sheepsking cover for my factory seat that I used on trips. When I retired that seat, I bought a black skin and cut it the contour of the seat. We sit on it on long trips. I won't leave home without it.
