I'm a tune man myself.
My vote is for the upgraded stereo.

I dig the contrast wheels that you have as most do.
I don't even mind my stock wheels on my 09.
They are of a similar design.
Wait a year or so on the wheels and the prices of them will come down, then buy a used set and have them chromed and then sell your stock ones.

So therefore it is NOT an audio upgrade. I say for the cost quoted the OP could do an aftermarket audio upgrade and be far and above anything he'd ever get out of the stock audio.

2010 Limited with some stuff

What exactly is an audio option for the large opening in the fairing? I'm sure someone will come out with an adapter that will accept a standard sized in-dash radio at some point in the near future.....but it will look .

I'm with Lionsm13, I would get the 6.5. Many seem to complain about the GPS (9 waypoint limitation) included in the 6.5, but I saw on one of the RoadGlide reviews that this issue has been addressed. I'm sure it will be a soon to be released software version. Personally I've always used maps anyway and the capabilities of the GPS are better than I've ever had in any automobile. Besides, since I've always used maps....I usually only use the on screen map function anyway for reference. I don't need a GPS to hold my hand for every single bend in the road, merge on the highway or to tell me I took a wrong turn when I intended to do so.

If on a long trip, the only waypoints I need is where my destination to reach by the end of the day is. And it won't take me 9 days to get anywhere on this continent! I also don't like the voice interrupting all the time to give me directions. There seems to be a lot of folks that like to complain about the little things....it is a big improvement from the HK radio!

I also may be a little biased....I like the stock Enforcer wheels on the new Street Glides and you sure as he77 can't see chrome wheels riding down the road!

My question is do you have chrome lowers? or plane on doing chrome lowers, if you already have the chrome lowers I would go with the rims and rotors, if you plan on chroming out the lowers I would wait and do it all at the same time. JMO So either you can save what you have and do it all at once. Did you ask yourself why you want the 6.5 does it justify the cost. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my 6.5 I guess I have been lucky with no issues and yes I use every feature there is on it. Just some things to consider. post pics when you make your decision.

I deceided to go with the 6.5 GPS radio. It came down to the fact that the stock wheels look pretty as is. Granted they would look awesome in chrome, but I can live with the stock look for now. Wheels will definetly be an upgrade down the road.

The radio on the other hand is something you see/use constantly. Probably not worth the cost of admission, but the GPS and larger screen is a night/day difference when compared to the standard 4.3. It's a Harley, Right?

Thanks for everyones input.

Good point.....Negative on chrome lowers. Will save up and like you suggested do wheels/lowers at the same time.

I believe he wanted the GPS capabilities more than louder sound...I'd like to upgrade to a 6.5gt myself but so many people complain about it here that I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I've seen a few on Ebay for $1000-$1500 or so...
