Default Do you carry spark plugs?

I'm getting ready (WAY ahead of time) for my annual solo bike trip next month, and was checking over my list of road tools. Historically speaking, I've not carried spark plugs and the necessary socket because I usually start the season on fresh plugs and I figure that if I have a plug go down, I've probably got other problems that aren't going to be fixed by changing out the plugs. What do you folks do? And why?

I do carry two sparkplugs and the appropriate socket for removal/installation. I have never needed them, but they are there and help make me feel more comfortable.

Yeah...well, when I had my '79 FLH back in the 80's, I wouldn't have THOUGHT about traveling without plugs (and points, and a bunch of other stuff), but with these F/I motors these days, it just seems like I'm taking up precious space with plugs, socket and ratchet.

Yes, but partly because I think it might be for someone in need of one.

Yup...I agree with you (that 'anything can happen'), but where does one draw the line? plug wires?.....voltage regulator?....headlight bulb?....

I suppose plugs are easy enough to carry, and the extra tools needed aren't going to kill me. I just don't like to carry a lot of extra stuff when I'm out on a 10 day trip.
